Is it true that contacts are bad for your eye if you wear them every single day?

Hey, I just turned 14 years old. I wear Acuve Moist 1-Day Disposable Contacts. My friend said that if you wear them EVERY SINGLE DAY, it will be harmful for your eyes.


Is this true or is he exaggerating?Is it true that contacts are bad for your eye if you wear them every single day?
That was more true with the older types of contacts.





What you are wearing is quite safe to wear every day ,but still, 14 - 16 hours a day everyday is a bit much. It is a good idea to remove them at least an hour before you go to bed to let more oxygen get to your corneas before you close your eyes for the night.





With young wearers, I always suggest they try to leave one day a week without them, or take them off in the evenings and wear glasses instead if they don't have to go out.Is it true that contacts are bad for your eye if you wear them every single day?
It dries your eyes...
