its really expensive to do this, you need two cats for it and a a really good experienced shop that can do the pipe work on it,can it be done.? yes,but its not really going to help it that much on power or performance, and it may hurt your actual gas mileage that your getting on it now, good luck.My 2005 dodge durango has single exhaust, what do I need to do, to convert it to true duel exhaust?

you can not on this vehicle unfortunately. several reasons come to mind but i will only share a few. the placement of the fuel tank on this vehicle prohibit having true duals, also you can not legally remove a catalytic converter on a vehicle which would have to be done to have true duals. yes you can get replacement catalytic converters and put on but you are still going to have to deal with the o2 sensors and the emissions. it also depends on what state you live in and if you have emissions checks
Why waste money on little things, save that money and go on vacation enjoy life, To me vechiles are temporary in the next few years your Durango will have a New Owner, It kind of recycle like they say dont treat her bad because she might be my in the few years! , That is just my opinion,
You have to run 2 exhaust pipes from both sides of the engine block, attached to the headers. But to do this legally you need to also install a second cat, which I don't know if there is space for on the under carriage of that car
Just take it to a shop they can install a cat back system for you.
