If evolution was true why are there so many people staying single?

Wouldn't the desire to stay single be bred out by now?If evolution was true why are there so many people staying single?
I still think it's okay to shake babies vigorously, but I hear society frowns upon that now.If evolution was true why are there so many people staying single?
You can be single and still love sex. It is human nature to enjoy sex. And what the hell is so wrong with being single? I'd rather be single than settle for some man that I'm not completely in love with, only to get divorced years later and have my whole life turned upside down. Single is GOOD.

No it wouldn't. If evolution is correct no male or female, of any species, got married and sustained relationships. Get on, get it, get out, get up, move on.... That was a very weak attempt by the way.
Evolution does not work that way! There are a millions of people in the world. Evolution has nothing to do with the desire to stay single as one could still be a father or a mother and still be single.
Evolution programmed us to ****. Not necessarily to hold relationships.
I think people say single to get more single people in their lives.
