China is helpless without the purchasing power of the USA. They will soon become a victim of their own prosperity like other super powers have done. The younger generations will become fat and lazy and demanding something for nothing. Looking for the free ride.IS IT TRUE THAT CHINA WILL BECOME SINGLE SUPERPOWER OF THE WORLD ?

The Chinese military? I have heard no threats of China being a military threat except they possibly have long funded wars.


One threat is they currently have purchased via stocks 51% of our GDP. When I saw a business man in China interviewed. The only obligation he said they had was not to customers or workers just the stock holders. This theory would explain insurance companies finding ways to get out of paying and still having customers.





They do seem to be working towards wealth.
I just remember this quote ';nowhere is it written that the American Empire will last forever';. I don't think the US would ever become a 'puppet' of the Chinese - its too proud and self-assured to do that. I couldn't tell you a timescale of when China could overtake the US on ';superpower'; status, but its certainly got a better economy and outlook at the moment. As the US markets collapse, people are looking to China and the Pacific Rim for stability and growth.
Only in their own minds. You saw what happened at the Olympics. The people of China want what the West has. Freedom and all that entails. They don't want to be oppressed. They will never figure out how to do that. Their own ideals and ideas are so ingrained in them that it would take ions for them to figure it out.
It is certainly possible.





Though with a bit of luck the recent Olympics will bankrupt them (like it will probably bankrupt us by 2012.
