Do you think Barry Bonds is the true single season home run king?

I think its Mark McgwireDo you think Barry Bonds is the true single season home run king?
Bonds. No questions. What you people have to realize is steroids were in professional sports in the 1960's and so on. Not just baseball. You also have to realize that about 90% of mlb players in the 70's took speed. Hell, Dock Ellis for the Pirates pitched a no hitter in the 70's on LSD and speed and nobody is trying to take that away from him. There were players that played on the same team as Hank Aaron that have admitted to taking steroids. Maybe he took them too...nobody really knows. Maybe you can't count Babe Ruth's home runs either because he never had to face a curve ball, was a raging alcoholic and in today's game would probably be compared to Matt Stairs with his abilities. But you do. Nobody in baseball is innocent at any time period and the numbers they put up are black and white.Do you think Barry Bonds is the true single season home run king?
Considering that Alex Rodgriguez, Miguel Tejada, Manny Ramirez, Jose Canseco, Rafael Palmeiro, Paul LoDuca, Alex Sanchez, David Ortiz, Brady Anderson, Rick Ankiel and PLENTY other steroid users never have even gotten close to sniffing 73 homers in a season, I have to give Bonds his credit.

Also, how many steroid using pitchers do you think he faced? Roger Maris never had to deal with hitting against pitchers on steroids.
Asking that is like asking whether I ';think'; the Cubs play at Wrigley Field, or whether I ';think'; that the Yankees have won more championships than any other team.

A fact is a fact. And the fact is that Bonds hit 73 home runs in 2001. And the fact is that McGwire hit 70 in 1998. And the fact is that, regardless of how those totals were accomplished, 73 is more than 70. And more than 61 as well.

There is no opinion involved. It's simple math.
Yea. Hit hit he the most home runs in a single season.

Yea, he probably did use drugs to help but so did the some of the pitchers and hitter on the other team. You take any one records away because one accuse someone of doing something.

And as far as Mcgwire goes, he most likely used steroids in is 70 homerun season as well
You could argue until you're blue in the face with this...he most likely did PED's, but the fact of the matter is, so did a lot of others and even pitchers were using. I think an asterisk* is the way to go with this, because to have such a great record fall at such a dark time in baseball is a nightmare, a shame really.

One question though is why do you think it's McGwire when he's been associated with PED's as well?
Barry Bonds.

He's a jerk and a cheater but 70 HR in one season is not easy.

I gurauntee you that if I took steroids and got as big as a house I'm not going to hit 70 HR in my life against MLB pitching let alone one season. Like him or not the guy is a good baseball player.
Well lets take a look at the numbers.................................鈥?still Barry had the most. So, dumb question.
Unless you can prove that he juiced, the record is his!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!! BONDS IS THE ONE YEAR STEROID CHAMP!!
No. Neither. Sammy Sosa. Both juiced up
No, it's Barry's, unless someone breaks it in the future, it's still his title.
NO! Hank Aaron is the Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is what the record book says
NOOOO. I think that if you use sterroids it dont count!
with an * next to his name maybe.
NONE OF THEM ARE!!! ROGER MARIS FROM 1961 WITH 61 IS!!
