Most people I ask about Canadian immigration visa applications say that married applicants are more likely to be approved than single applicants because of the adaptability reasons. I'm single and may reach the pass mark of 67 points for canadian immigration but worried because I do not have relatives in Canada and no husband to add another points in my application. If ever I can prove the 67 points I claim, will my status as single affect the decision of the visa officer to grant an immigration visa?Is it true that canada immigration visa officers prefer married applicants than the singles?
I think its just because MORE married couples apply to immigrate than do single applicants.
That is why it seems as if more married couples are approved - A LOT more of them are applying.
But as the other answer said, CIC cannot discriminate and must treat all applications on an equal basis. .Is it true that canada immigration visa officers prefer married applicants than the singles?
The information given to you is wrong. For immigration officer it doesn't matter if u are married or single. If u qualify then u qualify %26amp; they'd check details %26amp; criteria %26amp; decide accordingly.
this would be discriminatory to only accept married people,
single people do have their application accepted,
do apply you have as much chance as anyone,
being married wont make a difference as long as you got the 67 points.
