Is it true that most men are single minded?

What I mean by this question, are men so focused on the deed at hand that they completely block out everything else?

If my boyfriend is into a project at work, or home or painting or doing yard work or writing checks; it seems he can only do the one thing. He doesn't want to (or can't) be bothered with anything else while he is concentrating on the one thing he is doing. I have heard that MEN are like this. Women on the other hand can mult-task, doing 3 or 4 things at once. Is this a typical difference between men and women?Is it true that most men are single minded?
most men cant or they just don't want to .it seems like if they try to do more then one thing at a time then they won't get anything done 'so the best thing to do is let them finish what ever there doing then make time for youIs it true that most men are single minded?
Ever read ';Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus';? Try it, it really explains in great detail the difference between us.
There is research that men tend to focus more on the one task at hand and women tend to multi-task.
It has been true in my experience, I'd not given it much thought before. Good Question:)
yes men are more likely better at focusing on one task, and women are more likely better at multitasking (evolutionary theory) but I can assure you that for the most part both sexes are about the same. The difference is almost unrecordable.
OK..Setting the record straight..Men think well, about alot of things...But the instant they are distracted by that which they enjoy thinking about the most...They (We) Play it off and act like we'd rather be thinking about what we are doing than our female significant other/wife/girlfriend/date for the evening..whatever!.....We CAN Multi-task too!..Have you ever read the wall in a restroom while peeing? And not got any on your shoes? How bout this..Have you ever cooked dinner, Talked on the phone, ate dinner, talked on the phone...Fed the dog,...Talked on the phone.....Played with dog.....WhiLE TALKING ON THE PHONE? Whew! All that talk about multi-tasking made me sleepy.....In conclusion..It should be considered a compliment that He doesn't want you to distract him....It means you Do Have The Power to distract Him....So Chill Out! At work may mean a phone call could be dangerous!! Depeneds on what he does for a living.
yes, because i can't make love and watch tv at the same time; i mean i could, but it's not ';romantic'; i asked her, ';what do you mean, your watching the tv too';

i'm joking, but honestly; only focusing on one thing at a time has it's advantages.
